Alex is carving out a formidable career as one of Australia’s most versatile leading men of stage and screen. At 24 years of age Alex landed the principal role of Raoul in London’s West End production of The Phantom Of The Opera (Cameron Mackintosh). Soon after returning home to Australia he was cast by and starred alongside Geoffrey Rush in The Drowsy Chaperone (MTC).
A graduate of The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Alex won a Helpmann Award for his performance as Billy in Anything Goes (John Frost/Opera Australia). His other stage credits include Aaron in Curtains (The Production Company), Carl in Ghost The Musical (Ambassador/GWB/Red Live). Brad in The Rocky Horror Show (TML), Greg in The Boy From Oz (TPC), Joe Kennedy Jr and Jerry in Grey Gardens (TPC), Dr Fine/Dr Madden in Next To Normal (Doorstep/Hayes Theatre), Lancelot in Camelot (TPC) and Sid in An Officer And A Gentleman (GFO).
On television Alex has had roles including Gwilym Evans in Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries (ABC), Jim Hallett-Jones in Rush (Network Ten) and Marcus Hallam in Winners & Losers (Seven Network).
Also an accomplished voiceover and recording artist, Alex’s debut album Easy To Love celebrates Broadway’s best-loved composers and is available on iTunes and through Sanity music stores nationwide.
