SOUND DESIGNER

Training: BA Hons in creative design (Central School of Art and Design, London), where he was introduced to theatre sound.

Theatre includes: working on many West End musicals, including the original productions of Cats, Song & Dance, Starlight Express and Little Shop of Horrors, his West End and Broadway debut as sound designer on the Robert Stigwood-produced musical Saturday Night Fever (world premiere, London, Broadway and nine productions worldwide), Black Goes with Everything (London), Starlight Express (Las Vegas, first UK tour, North American and Scandinavian tours), Tell Me on a Sunday (London and UK tour), Scrooge – The Musical (London, UK and North American tours), Jesus Christ Superstar (UK tour), Andrew Lloyd Webber’s production of Bombay Dreams (world premiere, London and Broadway), Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Woman in White (world premiere, London and Broadway), Hair (London), Whistle Down the Wind (London), Phantom – The Las Vegas Spectacular (Las Vegas), the critically-acclaimed revival of Evita (London), Ich War Noch Niemals in New York (world premiere, Hamburg and Stuttgart), The Sound of Music (London, UK tour and Toronto), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (London), Der Schuh des Manitu (world premiere, Berlin), Zorro – The Musical (world premiere, London, Paris and Japan), Sister Act (world premiere, London and Hamburg), the 25th anniversary production of Les Misérables (UK, USA tour, O2 Arena and Spain) and Love Never Dies (world premiere, London). Recently he created an all-new sound design for The Phantom of the Opera (London and Broadway).

Future projects include: in 2011, Cameron Mackintosh’s Betty Blue Eyes (London) and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Australian production of Love Never Dies (Melbourne).

Awards include: 2005 Olivier Award for Best Sound Design for The Woman in White (London) and 2006 Parnelli Sound Designer of the Year Award for Phantom – The Las Vegas Spectacular (USA).
