MUSICAL DIRECTOR

Theatre includes: most recently, musical director of Cameron Mackintosh’s production of Oliver!, having opened the show in January 2008 with Rowan Atkinson and Jodie Prenger (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane). Prior to Oliver! Graham was musical director for the London production of Les Misérables for which he conducted the record breaking 9,000th performance (Queen’s). Also, assistant musical director of Cats (Hamburg), musical director of Starlight Express (Germany), music associate of Starlight Express (USA tour), music associate of Saturday Night Fever (USA tour and Las Vegas), original musical director of Starlight Express (first UK tour) and Cats (25th anniversary UK tour) and musical director and piano for actress Honor Blackman’s one-woman show Wayward Women. Most recently, he worked with Alfie Boe andMatt Lucas in preparation for their performance at the 25th anniversary concert of Les Misérables (O2 Arena). Also, music associate for Starlight Express (second UK tour, and 2002 and 2008 reworking of the show in Germany). Graham supplied musical arrangements for opera singer Marilyn Hill Smith’s compilation show Enchanted Evenings and Glamorous Nights (2007 UK tour).

Recordings, television and radio include: musical director and conductor of Starlight Express (2002 German cast), the television series The Passions of Girls Aloud conducting Kimberly Walsh singing ‘On My Own’ from Les Misérables (ITV2) and conducting Oliver! (2009 live cast recording). Also, Laurence Olivier Awards 2010, I Dreamed a Dream – The Susan Boyle Story, This Morning, The Alan Titchmarsh Show and Elaine Paige on Sunday (Radio 2).
