Danielle Wade (Dorothy)

After capturing hearts on the CBC television show “Over the Rainbow,” Danielle went on to lead the Canadian company in Oz’s North American premiere. She is thrilled to be reprising her role for the tour! Danielle has completed two years in the fine arts program at the University of Windsor. Jay Brazeau(Professor Marvel / The Wizard)

Jay’s career highlights include Hairspray (Edna Turnblad; Mirvish Productions), Drowsy Chaperone (Man in Chair) and Fiddler on the Roof (Tevye). Film and TV credits include Watchmen, Double Jeopardy, Jinxed, “The West Wing” and “Supernatural.” Jay has received seven Jessie Theatre Awards, a Pittsburgh Press Critic’s Award for Best Actor of the Year (1987) and was nominated for a Gemini Award for Harlen in the series “Stargate SG-1.” He will be in the upcoming film Horns starring Daniel Radcliff.

Jacquelyn Piro Donovan (Miss Gultch / The Wicked Witch of the West)

Mike Jackon (Hickory / Tin Man)

Lee MacDougall (Zeke / Lion)

For Mirvish Productions, Lee was Harry in the original cast of Mamma Mia! (Toronto and U.S. tour), and Smokey in Damn Yankees. Selected credits include The Boyfriend (Stratford Festival), Urinetown (CanStage) and Guys and Dolls (Theatre Calgary, Citadel). Also a playwright, his plays include High Life, The Gingko Tree and an adaptation of W.O. Mitchell’s Who Has Seen the Wind. As a director: Glory Days, Beauty and The Beast, The Producers, Joseph, and All Shook Up.

Jamie McKnight (Hunk / Scarecrow)

Selected theatre credits: Toronto – The Producers, The Toxic Avenger, Hair, Annie Get Your Gun, Go-Go Beach; Stratford Festival – Oklahoma! and King Lear; I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change (Theatre New Brunswick); A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Hair ( The Grand Theatre, London, Ontario). In 2008, he
toured as one ofThe Canadian Tenors. Jamie would like to thank his Mom and Dad.

Robin Evan Willis (Glinda)

As a longstanding ensemble member of Canada’s Shaw Festival, Robin has appeared in Heartbreak House (Ellie), One Touch of Venus (Venus), French Without Tears (Diana), The Cherry Orchard (Anya), A Little Night Music (Anne), The Millionairess (Polly) and Sunday in the Park with George (Celeste) among other productions. Credits elsewhere: Goblin Market, Othello, Amadeus, and Man of La Mancha. Robin is a graduate of Queen’s University and The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

Larry Herbert (Uncle Henry / Ensemble)

Stratford Festival 9 seasons, most recently seen as Avram in Fiddler on the Roof and The Minister in Tommy. Other selected credits include, Bobby Child (Crazy for You), Frankie (Forever Plaid) and Adolpho (The Drowsy Chaperone). TV and Film: “Being Erica,” Politics are Cruel and “Road to Avonlea.” Tyrone Guthrie Award.

Chelsey Duplak (Auntie Em / Ensemble)

The Wizard of Oz (Mirvish), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Stage West Calgary/Rainbow Stage), RENT (Rainbow Stage), The Wizard of Oz (Dorothy, Rainbow Stage), and Johnny and June (June, Lighthouse Theatre). Josh Assor (Ensemble)

John Edwards (Ensemble)

John is thrilled to follow the yellow brick road across the US and Canada! Favorite credits include: Link in Hairspray, Skimbleshanks in Cats, Matt in Living with Henry, Paul McCartney in British Invasion, Big Deal in West Side Story, Aladdin in Disney Dreams, Moose in Hercules. Kelly Grainger (Assistant Dance Captain / Fight Captain / Swing)

Kelly began her training 22 years ago in Prince Rupert, BC where she learned and perfected the infamous jazz run, before attending CCPA. Favourite credits include Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Mayzie in Seussical, Demeter in Cats, Georgie in The Full Monty, and Mrs. Hussey in Moby Dick.

Nicole is a member of SAG-AFTRA and the Actors Equity Association. Her credits include HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire,” Papermill’s touring production of the Little Mermaid; and regional productions of Disney’s Aladdin, Hairspray, A Chorus Line, Into the Woods and Bye Bye Birdie. Nicole is also Founder & Creative Director of Javanna Productions.

Nigel (Toto)

Nigel was rescued from the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society by guardian/trainer, William Berloni in 2008. He follows in a long line of Totos trained by Mr. Berloni. In 2009 he appeared as Toto in The Wizopposite Ashanti in New York City. He has been on the “Today Show” and “Dogs 101.” He also appeared in the major motion picture Someday This Pain Will Be Usefulwith Marcia Gay Harden and Toby Regbo.

Loki (Toto Understudy)

Loki was discovered through Cairn Rescue USA in 2008 by guardian/trainer William Berloni. He was about one and a half years old when he was rescued from the puppy mills of Missouri. His first production of The Wizard of Oz was the National Tour in 2009 understudying the role of Toto. In 2010 he took over the role of Toto in that tour and has played Toto all across North America.
