The Wizard of Oz has this week been nominated for an incredible 11 BroadwayWorld UK Awards including Best Musical, with the show’s home at the London Palladium also nominated in the Theatrical Venue of the Year category.
The annual BroadwayWorld UK Awards gives theatregoers the chance to nominate and then vote for their favourite West End productions and performers and – after nominations opened in September – now is the time for Wizard of Oz fans to vote for the show. Our nominations in full are:
Best Musical
Best Direction of a Musical – Jeremy Sams
Best Leading Actress in a Musical – Danielle Hope
Best Featured Actor in a Musical – Michael Crawford
Best Featured Actor in a Musical – Paul Keating
Best Featured Actress in a Musical - Hannah Waddingham
Best Featured Actress in a Musical - Emily Tierney
Best Choreography – Arlene Phillips
Best Costume Design - Rob Jones
Best Orchestrations - David Cullen
Best Scenic Design – Rob Jones
Theatrical Venue of the Year – London Palladium
