Brrrrr... are we nearly there yet?

Fun times were had on Sunday this week… we went off on a winter trek up the Yorkshire Dales mountain Pen-y-Ghent.  I managed to have a little lie in until 7.30 (well it is better than 6!) and after some wholesome doggy breakfast off we went! When I say we, it was initially just me and Daddy as Mummy had to stay behind as the size of her belly now she might end up rolling down the mountain … I don’t know when she is going to get rid of that belly, as I have to say it is a hindrance to me as well, as it is in the way when I need to get into my prime sleeping position on her knee )0:

When we got to the mountain, there was a surprise – Eric my little Westie friend was there as well with his Mummy and Daddy! We had a run round chasing each other, as our favourite game is tig, my my, we had to be careful, as we might have got ourselves too puffed-out to reach the top….

Off we went, and I did have to keep moving as it was a chilly day, with snow on the ground and what with my newly scalped haircut I was feeling the chill w…w….w…w…woo…o…ooof…f…f! Eric and I followed each other up the mountain, each taking it in turns to have a wee against a fence or wall first- well we do need to make sure all the other doggies that climb this mountain know we have been here as well!

Before long we reached the top and had some time to run round and play. But as it was very chilly I was also looking forward to getting down the mountain and back home to the rug in front of the fire – come on guys let’s get down!
